chasing a little piggy

SO I was on my way home from the store last night and I had a feeling I needed to slow down. A feeling that if I didn't I would hit something. Low and behold I had to swerve the car to keep from hitting an animal. Not just any animal..A pot belly pig. I turned around and drove by a few times to try and find the poor fellow. I didn't see him anywhere. So I was hoping he had ran into a near by field. On my way back that way I didn't see him either. I turned into Walleck Ranch and there he was resting on the rocks of someones front yard. I went up to him thinking maybe he was friendly and that I could catch him. He oinked at me a few times and went closer into a tree where I could not reach him. I rang the door bell of the people to let them know they had a little pig in their front yard and so I would not get shot running around like an idiot in their front yard. They wished me luck..
He crossed Gordon and I clapped my hands at him. He ran fast oinking at me the whole time. Had I caught him I don't know what I would have done, but lets just say I'd have a pig in my back yard. I didn't want him to get ran over he was too cute. The story had some hilarity to it so I thought I'd share. Man I wish I'd had my camera! Most people can say I almost hit a dog or cat..but I can say I almost hit a pig. I'm so glad I didn't. If you don't know this about me I am a HUGE animal lover!! It would have broken my heart.

Blogging

I can sit around all day and read other people's blogs. Its fun and I enjoy seeing how other people function as families. How they share their happy stories and how different every relationship is. I know I get lost in the shuffle and can be crabby with my hubby. Sometimes cranky with the kiddos..But I can read another persons blog and see that maybe my complaints don't really have any merit. These Blogs make me want to be a better person. Treat the hubbie better, love on my kids more, clean my house more (instead of sitting here) So today I'd like to thank my fellow bloggers. With out you, I may be a cranky pants all day, everyday..But today I'm a little better because one of you inspired me:)
Maybe, just maybe, I will get organized enough to start posting more pics.

Today I am the bad guy

Yep that's right I am the bad guy. My husband decided that it would be ok for the the boys to have a wall in their bedroom that they can unleash their creativity on. By this I mean here boys, have some markers and color it up. He things this is a great idea and me not so much. I think it would be fun but for me its that much more mess to clean up. He says we will paint over it..no sweat. I don't know why this urks me so much but it does. When I walk by and Mark shows me his picture I am annoyed and take his marker away. To where he replies Dad said its ok...He is the boss..and the boss of you too..Excuse me, he is what?? Mark also tells me that Dad bought our house and our bed and all of our furnishings. I guess because I stay home with them I have become useless. So now I am mad and I am uncool because dad said they could do it..Didn't discuss it with me just said have at it. Then he says are you still yelling at them about the wall? Yes I am!
Of course we discuss it out, but It doesn't really seem to matter because I am making a big deal over nothing. Rrrrrrrrrr..I love my hubby to be involved, but Geez! Now here I am stewing over it and they are outside playing in the pool.

*UPDATE* I was having a bad day! Re-reading this I could not believe what a cry baby I was. I'm much better now. I am sure one day I won't want to paint over it because of the cute little memories that are there!

Good Bye my friend

My Friend Levi, left this world last Friday. He had been mine and Brandon's room mate for 3 years. He got accepted to NAU and then from Flagstaff he went on to Phoenix. I don't know why, or how come he could leave this world. I just know how much I am going to miss him. He was one of the sweetest most caring people I knew. I could talk to him about anything. He was such a helpful person. Everyone that met him liked him. This is one of most recent pics I have of him with one of his friends. I will miss him every day and hope one day to meet up with him again. A bright star has gone out and he will be missed a lot. A big loss at the very young age of 28.

When did I settle for mediocre?

I'm sure I spelled mediocre wrong..But when did I settle?
I had a bridal shower tonight at my house. I spent 2 days cleaning, organizing, and rearranging and it still wasn't clean enough. I'm just wondering where I started to falter. I still felt very insecure and umcomfortable with people in my house. I sat in my room looking around at the piles of stuff. Granted it is NOTHING like an episode of hoarders, but I can see things starting to pile here or there. Its like this dirty little secret that I carry around on my shoulders. When people come over unannounced I'm embarrased or if I know someone is coming by or we have an event here its guaranteed that I will have to clean for 2 days. My husband LOVES to invite people over and if I'm LUCKY I will get a few hours notice. Even though he knows I'm going to yell at him he STILL does it. So here I am running around frantically trying to pick up, while Blake is crawling around on the floor in hot pursuit of me to pick him up. What does my husband say as I do this all one armed?? Oh they don't care! What?!? Darn right they care and in the least if they don't care, they notice.
Its so hard to let people in on such an intimate part of your life. Then when people offer me help I'm even more horrified because they see how the house REALLY is.

My poor kids too! We can never find laundry. My husband will tell me he needs pants or socks at 6am when I'm in bed. before getting into the shower I'm doing the naked dive into the garage to grab a towel and hopeing no one is coming up to the front door as I shoot by. I know we have some clothes that are continually in the wash cycle. Wash, dry, put in basket, take to room, put on bed, fall to floor, get mixed in with clean or maybe dirty, get picked up and washed again and it starts all over!

So I am wondering when I settled for mediocre, and started letting myself get soooo behind on everything. I'm definitely NOT your super mom. I get tired of cleaning and on the rare occasion I only have one of the boys..you better believe my butt is parked on the couch watching TV, facebooking, or blogging.
Some honest truths:

Sometimes dishes sit in the sink for days!

There is an impression of my couch underneath, mad up of toys, dishes and lord knows what else.

I've used lysol spray on things by the door to make it smell like I've been cleaning.
I blame 95% of it on the kids.
I feel better when people tell me I have 3 kids and that's why the house is messy..when deep down I wonder if they tell me that to make me feel better.

I comment on the obvious when I'm nervous. Like "wow, my fridge is a mess." When really I need to just shut up!

I make deals with my husband so he will help me clean.

Crazy thing is I used to love cleaning and organizing. When did it get to be so unenjoyable and why did I let my self get so far behind? Another world mystery!

Fit and fabulous!

So you all remember my quest to be fit. Well I have not given up. I did however lose track a little bit. For a while I was so worried about my health and even scared to work out because I thought something serious was wrong with me. I have all but given up worrying about that now. So what does it mean? Well since I was concerned with my health I decided that I need to take the whole working out thing seriously. So I got a Gym membership. I've been working out 5 days a week most weeks. I joined April 27th and have been going strong ever since. I am in week 5 and feeling pretty good. Of course there are days when I don't want to go, or that I'm tired. But this far I've been able to power through and still make it. They have a daycare which I love. I never know when my husband will be home so I can't depend on him and really I don't have anyone who can watch the kiddos. So I go at my leisure. I enjoy the Total body toning class. Its only a half hour and usually I get there about 30 minutes before hand to do some cardio. On the days there are no classes I do cardio and weights. I'm very proud of myself and really looking forward to what the future holds with my work outs. Fit by 30 is looking better and better!!
