Life's changes and why I read porn

Wow has my life been crazy busy lately. 2 weeks ago this Sunday my 16 year old niece came to stay with us.
It has been an adjusment but seems to be going good.  The boys love having here.  I don't know which way is up and down though lately. I hope that once we get into a good routine it will be OK.  I never thought that she would come to live with us.  We had to clean out our spare bedroom which I think has been a blessing is disguise .  I've gone through and gotten rid of lots and lots of papers and junk just sitting in there waiting to be thrown away..I don't know what it is but sometimes I can't bare to get rid of some thing and then the next time I look at this I think Why did I keep this. 

I'm also trying to figure out how the teenage mind works.  Its so creepy how things are these days and just how different kids are.  When I was in school I know things weren't good.  But now they are just down right bad.  I keep trying to explain to my niece that the guys that are innocent are the ones she needs to be around. I can't understand for the life of me why she would want to be someones throw away. I guess if they aren't bad boys they aren't appealing..Wow oh wow...Its funny because I can look back at being her age and wonder if I was the same.

Just a regular day in the neighborhood

Wow, today is so beautiful outside.  I've gotten my car washed, cleaned out..(its nice to be able to see the kids) cleaned on some of the garage..Its been a good day!

Sugar and spice

Alec decided that he wanted cinnamon toast.  He was looking for the sugar and decided that he didn't need any..that cinnamon would be sufficient.  I hope you can see the pure layer of cinnamon on this toast.

He did eat some of it too..Call him cinnamon from now on. He He!  I asked him later how his toast was and he said it was very sweet. I said you mean very nasty and he said Very nasty..ha ha! I love these little boys so much my heart aches.

Hide and go seek.

Some times I really like to get to Brandon.  Some times, I will be in the other room and hear Blake fussing.  As soon as he goes to Brandon, Brandon will pick him up to bring to me.  So in turn I will hide as fast as I can.  Now this hiding sport I have to be very good at.  If the dog notices where I have hidden he will linger in the area and give me away.  If the cats know where I am they walk around the house acting like they are not sure what is going on and give me a way by looking in the general area. I've done this for years with all three boys.  I sit and think of good hiding spots and plan it.  I have to be ready and fast.  Some times I only have minutes even seconds.
 I think the best I ever hid was when I hid in Mark and Alec's room in their cabinet.  It has one shelf inside and I took it out earlier in the day. No one even noticed.  I put the dog out side and shooed the cats away. I got in and just waited. I bet it took them a good 45 minutes to an hour to find me.  They searched the entire house. They checked out side and when they would get far enough away I would yell at them.  Our dog was running through the house looking for me.  I was laughing on the inside so hard.  Every time they would come in the bedroom I would hold my breath. It was a bit cramped but I did what I had to do.  Finally they gave up.  Sweet victory!  Its all about the fun:)

 

Why oh why?

Note to self: When you think you smell something get up and check it out. Alec polished his nails, toes, fingers, my floor..All when he was supposed to be sleeping..I thought I smelled something and it passed..Boy was I surprised!
Oh and he used my clothes to clean up the mess..

chasing a little piggy

SO I was on my way home from the store last night and I had a feeling I needed to slow down. A feeling that if I didn't I would hit something. Low and behold I had to swerve the car to keep from hitting an animal. Not just any animal..A pot belly pig. I turned around and drove by a few times to try and find the poor fellow. I didn't see him anywhere. So I was hoping he had ran into a near by field. On my way back that way I didn't see him either. I turned into Walleck Ranch and there he was resting on the rocks of someones front yard. I went up to him thinking maybe he was friendly and that I could catch him. He oinked at me a few times and went closer into a tree where I could not reach him. I rang the door bell of the people to let them know they had a little pig in their front yard and so I would not get shot running around like an idiot in their front yard. They wished me luck..
He crossed Gordon and I clapped my hands at him. He ran fast oinking at me the whole time. Had I caught him I don't know what I would have done, but lets just say I'd have a pig in my back yard. I didn't want him to get ran over he was too cute. The story had some hilarity to it so I thought I'd share. Man I wish I'd had my camera! Most people can say I almost hit a dog or cat..but I can say I almost hit a pig. I'm so glad I didn't. If you don't know this about me I am a HUGE animal lover!! It would have broken my heart.
